Beaks

A revolutionary piece of gear that's been used to open hard aid routes from Antarctica to Östergötland. Fits when literally nothing else fits and an essential piece of gear on the modern aid rack.

Manufactured as a thin nailing piece to be placed with a hammer, but can also be hand-placed as a hook in small seams. When weighted, the beak twists into the rock, making the placement stronger. A carabiner can be attached through the lower hole, but it's much better to tie it off with cord, webbing or a swaged wire loop. The upper hole should also be tied off for easier cleaning and racking.
